This rigorous introduction to HVAC prepares students for careers as skilled heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration mechanics and installers. Students will be prepared to safely install, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC systems. Modules include Intro to HVAC, Trade Math, Basic Electricity, Intro to Heating & Cooling, Air Distribution Systems, Copper/Plastic/Carbon Steel Piping, and Soldering and Brazing. This is the first year of a comprehensive 4-year HVAC curriculum that complies with DOLI standards for apprenticeship, and is recognized by North American Technician Excellence (NATE). |
* Classes meet twice a week, once in person and once virtually, for the stated hours. Mid-term and final grades are reported electronically to sponsor employers with a FERPA form on file with ACE. Payment plan applications must be received two weeks before the class start date. Registration closes at 5:00 PM on the Thursday before class begins. A laptop or tablet is highly recommended.
