HI05030 Masterpiece Film Festival |
ACE presents the following magnificent film masterpieces:
- The Holdovers is Alexander Payne’s Christmas ode of “comfort” and “joy” at a prep school, starring Paul Giamatti in a Best Actor Academy Award-winning role.
- May December is Todd Haynes’ intensely compelling story of abuse, denial, and manipulation, starring Julianne Moore and Natalie Portman, each of whom received Academy Award nominations for their performances.
- Winner at Cannes, The Zone of Interest shows the commandant of Auschwitz and his wife (Sandra Hueller) as they strive to build a dream life for their family in a house and garden in the very shadow of the death camp.
- “We’re all about to lose our minds” might well serve as the watchword for Emerald Fennell’s wicked tale of privilege and desire, Saltburn.
- In American Fiction, a novelist who is fed up with the establishment profiting from Black entertainment uses a pen name to write a book that propels him into the heart of the hypocrisy and madness he claims to disdain.
Scenes from The Menu, Emily the Criminal, and Anatomy of a Fall will also be shown. |
