Capital Area Woodturners is an educational non-profit organization dedicated to woodturning for both the hobbyist and professional. Whether you’re new to woodworking or an experienced mentor, we would like to invite you to attend our meetings and enjoy the experience of woodworking. We usually meet on the second Saturday of each month except in the summer months of July & August. Our meetings concentrate on the how-to of the craft, with hands-on demonstrations of faceplates, spindles, miniatures, hollow vessel turning, and much more. These are scheduled for the second Saturday of the month starting at 8:00 am for “Social & Donuts”, 8:30 am for “Show & Tell,” 9:00 am for business meetings, and 9:30 am for demonstrations. A demonstration fee of $15.00 will be collected (per person & cash only). We will be done at approximately 12:30 pm. ***Each meeting we will have various group buy items, such as CAW clothing, wood, misc tools, etc*** |
