Electricians install and maintain electrical systems in homes, businesses, and commercial structures according to state and local codes. This is the first class of a comprehensive four-level curriculum that complies with DOLI standards for apprenticeship. Curriculum is nationally recognized and certified by NCCER. Level one modules include: occupational overview: the electrical industry, safety for electricians, introduction to electrical circuits, electrical theory, introduction to the National Electrical CodeĀ®, device boxes, hand bending, wireways, raceways and fittings, conductors and cables, basic electrical construction drawings, residential electrical services, and electrical test equipment. |
