ACE Scholarships

A limited number of ACE scholarships are available for low-income adults living or working in Fairfax County who wish to take an ACE class to enhance their job skills. Students must meet specific eligibility criteria, be 18 years of age or older, and be eligible to work in the U.S. A scholarship application is required.

Age

Over 62? Fairfax County residents 62 years of age or older are eligible for a 25 percent tuition discount. Ttextbooks and user fees are not included in the discount. To be eligible, provide your birth date/year on your registration form.

Under 18? Adult education classes are for students 18 years and older, unless otherwise specified. In some instances, exceptions may be approved. Contact Student Services at 703-658-2709 for information about an underage waiver. Requests require two weeks advance notice.

Low enrollment

Registration fees cover costs associated with presenting classes. Each course is carefully monitored to ensure sufficient enrollment to cover the costs of instruction and materials. Should low enrollment occur, cancellation decisions are generally made 48 hours prior to the start of the class. Classes showing low enrollment may be cancelled and in such a case, full refunds are made.

Textbooks

Payment for textbooks is required when you register. Textbooks will be delivered on the first night of class.

Register at least ten days before the class starts in order to guarantee delivery.
